The first Chinese Lunar New Year celebration welcomed the enthusiastic participation of the Huaying community. The event was sponsored by the community group Chinese Chamber of Commerce of New York to celebrate the coming of the Lunar New Year. Ho Kew Lee, president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in New York, said, “I am very pleased to participate in the sponsorship of the Municipal Public Welfare Maintenance Office for the upcoming Lunar New Year celebrations. Lunar New Year is a very important festive festival for Chinese.” This year’s Year of the Sheep, City Public Welfare Maintenance Officer Zhan Lexia will hold an event for the first time to celebrate the Lunar New Year with the Chinese community, showing Zhan Lexia’s concern and attention to the Chinese community. As a Chinese community, the Chamber of Commerce is proud to be able to participate in such a meaningful event.
