Summer High School Internship

Every year, JCCNY hosts its Summer High School Internship program, which typically takes place from early July to late August. The internship is an opportunity for high school students to expand their professional experience, whether they are looking for their first work experience or looking to build off of previous positions.

While working in a demanding yet nurturing real-world office environment, over the summer interns develop their leadership, outreach, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. By playing fundamental roles in organizing CCCNY’s major summer events such as the API Career Fair and IEH Fair, interns learn how to do outreach, pass out flyers, and even write invoices.
  2. Interns are given the opportunity to work on their public speaking skills by moderating discussions, leading press conferences, and serving as emcees during CCCNY’s events.
  3.  Interns are also given numerous networking opportunities through weekly Friday workshops.

Year-Round High School Internship

Every year, we look for year-round high school interns to help us at our office in Chinatown. In 2018, because of the immense success of the summer program, we expanded our program to a year-long one.

Year-round interns expand their working and volunteer experience by working in a real office environment. They will do outreach, plan and organize events, do office work, help out at our weekend events, and will receive community service hours for their efforts. Their schedule can be flexible and will be dependent on the student’s availability.

If you are interested in our 2023-2024 Year-Round High School Internship, please send a brief email to jccny2015@gmail.com expressing why you want to intern here, with your resume attached. We look forward to hearing from you!
