At 12 noon, the opening ribbon-cutting ceremony began, and President Ho Kew Lee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce gave a welcome speech. He thanked the Taipei Department of Scriptures in New York, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Communications and the Overseas Chinese Culture and Education Service Center for their support and guidance. Thanks to the cooperation and sponsorship of government agencies and business friends in the New York area, this year’s activities are more colorful. I hope that through this kind of activities, more people will understand the international tourism culture, understand Taiwan, promote tourism and leisure, enhance exchanges, and promote the economic prosperity of New York City. Manhattan Governor Gao Biao, City Councilor Gu Yaming, Deputy Director of the Taipei Department of Scriptures Su Ruiren, and Director of the Overseas Chinese Culture and Education Service Center Wang Yingyang attended the event to congratulate the success of the event and send greetings to the Chinese community. Nearly 30 booths on the scene provide information on Taiwan and international tourism, travel and aviation, as well as exquisite Taiwanese food, health insurance, lawyer consultation services and good merchandise sales.
